Cookie Policy
1.0 WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files that are stored in your web-browser that allow Alvie or a third party to recognise you and make the experience simple and meaningful for you. Cookies can be used to collect, store and share bits of information about your activities across websites, including on the Alvie website.
Cookies can be used for the following purposes:
To help diagnose problems that might occur during your use of the website
To provide analytics e.g. remembering that you have visited the website before. This means we can identify the number of unique visitors we receive
To store your preferences
Collect anonymous statistical information about how you use the website (including how long you spend on the website) and where you have come to the website from, so that we can improve the website and learn which parts of the website are most popular with users
2.0 WHERE ARE COOKIES USED?
The Alvie website (https://alviehealth.com ) uses cookies.
The Alvie mobile app does not use any cookies.
A session cookie is used to identify a particular visit to the Alvie website. These cookies expire after a short time and we use these cookies to identify you during a single browsing session.
A persistent cookie will remain on your devices for a set period of time specified in the cookie. We use these cookies where we need to identify you over a longer period of time e.g. when selecting ‘Ok’ on the EU cookie policy banner.
Third party companies such as analytical or ad networks generally use cookies to collect user information on an anonymous basis. They may use that information to build a profile of your activities on the Alvie website and other websites that you have visited.
If you do not wish to allow cookies to track or collect information or wish to manually exclude the ability of certain types of cookies, you can change your browser’s settings to delete cookies that have already been set and to not accept new cookies. To learn more about how to do this, visit the help pages of your chosen browser.
Please note, however, that by blocking or deleting cookies your user experience may lack some of the features we offer, you may not be able to store your preferences and some of our pages might not display properly.
For more information on cookies, please visit the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Please submit any questions, concerns or comments you have about this cookie policy by email to enquiries@alviehealth.co.uk by telephone on 0203 488 0182 between the hours of 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
